LICSW

Hey, I go by Dom or Dominick and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who specializes in grief, trauma work, and chronic illness. I’m originally from Nevada, having lived all over the state, and then spent some years in Portland, Oregon, before settling in the Seattle, Washington area. Prior to my focus on mental health, I explored the legal, medical, and systems worlds of social work, as I find importance in being well-rounded before exploring someone’s connection to themselves, others, and this world. I integrate many approaches in grief and trauma work based on an individual’s specific needs, requests, and through collaborative and transparent discussion. Working together to provide education about your mental health and why I may be taking a specific approach helps both of us pair together in communication and really get to the tough stuff. Something that I aim for is to have a direct approach while still respecting someone’s personhood. I encourage ongoing dialogue rather than it being a one-sided experience of only one person speaking. Please show up ready for some engaging, but at times difficult, conversations. I am a humanistic therapist who focuses on grief and trauma-informed therapies. Modalities I often lean on are CBT incorporated into my basic language, EFT concepts, IFS, ACT, EMDR, DBT Skills for Emotional Regulation, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and Grief Therapy.

LPC

My name is Sara BaDour and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a focus on trauma and neurodivergence. I practice from a person-centered approach in which I believe the client is the expert in their own life, creating a collaboration between client and clinician. Building rapport and a therapeutic relationship is a necessary foundation for any therapy and heightens the efficacy of individualized interventions like CBT, EFT, neurodivergent-affirming care, and trauma-informed care. I work with clients who feel they lost a sense of who they are, are overwhelmed with life and relationships, and are searching to redirect. Trauma and neurodivergence are my main specialties. With a background in neuroscience, I integrate this into my therapy to provide clients an understanding of how the brain works, relating it back to their presenting problem(s). Aside from individual therapy and clinical supervision, I also offer adult autism evaluations. No one client is the same, which is why the therapeutic interventions I provide are structured to the client in a collaborative fashion, empowering the client to regain strength in themselves and their lives. If you are wanting to further your understanding of yourself or gain introspective into why you’re struggling, please reach out.

Where We Began

A Shared Vision

Sara and Dominick met working together in Portland, Oregon while completing their own clinical hours in Community Mental Health. They both continued on into Private Practice together and years later made the decision to bring their services up to the Seattle, Washington area.
