A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker is a master’s level clinician who has completed the required supervised hours to obtain full licensure. This scope of practice includes the ability to provide mental health services, including but not limited to, biopsychosocial assessments, individual therapy, clinical supervision to associate licenses and interns, crisis interventions, case management, screenings, and differential diagnosis. Under further certifications, LICWs can also provide evaluations.

A Licensed Professional Counselor (or Licensed Mental Health Counselor) is a master’s level clinician who has completed the required supervised hours to obtain full licensure. This scope of practice includes the ability to provide mental health services, including but not limited to, biopsychosocial assessments, individual therapy, clinical supervision to associate licenses and interns, crisis interventions, case management, screenings, and differential diagnosis. Under further certifications, LPCs can also provide evaluations.
